GONE IN A JIFFY: A car with five passengers accidentally caught fire on Wednesday evening while it was stuck in traffic at Hudson Circle. The incident took place around 7 pm, when Srinivas Babu, editor of a local paper, tried to start his car. After smoke came out of the bonnet, Babu turned off the ignition. The fire started when he turned it on again. Soon after the occupants got down, the car went up in flames. Traffic was disrupted for half-an-hour till fire tenders extinguished the blaze. Police said rain had just stopped when the fire broke out. TOI reader S Siddhu sent us this photo
