Beltangady: Youth Drowns in Rivulet

Beltangady, Jan 10: On Sunday January 9, a youth drowned in Mrityunjaya rivulet at Balyarkapu in Mundaje in the taluk. He has been identified as Prashant (22) from Ujire. Prashant, an auto rickshaw driver by profession, had ventured into the said rivulet along with a few friends, for taking bath. While taking bath, he suddenly disappeared. After local divers and personnel of the fire brigade came on the spot and undertook an extensive search operation, his body could be recovered.
