Factory fire

BANGALORE: Fire broke out in a garment factory in Dasarahalli near Peenya on Monday. According to preliminary reports, goods consisting mainly of readymade garments, raw materials and garments for export were burnt. The exact loss can be estimated only on Tuesday, said officials of the Fire and Emergency Services Department. According to the officials, local people noticed smoke coming out of the building and alerted the fire force. Six to 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. About 40 firemen struggled to douse the fire and it took nearly two hours to accomplish the task.
