Fire breaks out in warehouse

MANGALORE: Fire Services personnel took nearly an hour to put out a fire that broke out in a warehouse in the Jain Basadi area near Mukhyaprana temple here on Saturday. According to Fire Services officials, a two-storeyed warehouse located at Bajil Keri caught fire around 3 p.m. on Saturday. The warehouse belongs to M. Giriraj. The cause of the fire or where it started was not yet clear. The official quoted Mr. Giriraj as saying that goods worth Rs. 60 lakh were stored in the building and estimated the loss at Rs. 20 lakh.
