Three major fire incidents in the city Crime Notes

Bangalore: The personnel of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services had a busy Friday putting out three major fires in Ulsoor Gate, Bamboo Bazaar and on Outer Ring Road which materials worth several lakhs were destroyed.All the three fires were caused by combustible material, and it took a while for the fire brigade officials to douse the fires. Scrap material worth Rs. 1 lakh, belonging to scrap dealer S.V. Lokesh, were destroyed in a godown on Cubbonpet Main Road. Eight fire tenders put out the fire though local people alleged that the fire personnel took 45 minutes to reach the spot. Later in the evening, around 5.50 p.m., a fire broke out at M.G. Motors on Cockburn Road in Bamboo Bazaar. A lorry, which was carrying sponge, was destroyed on Outer Ring Road near Hennur Cross on Friday night around 8.20, which entailed the deployment of one fire tender.
