BANGALORE: The President has awarded President's Fire Service Medal for Distinguished and Meritorious Service to eight officers of the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services.
Among the fire personnel who will receive the awards on Independence Day are
K. Srinivas, Regional Fire Officer, Karnataka Fire Services Workshop;
K.P. Chikkaiah, Assistant Fire Station Officer of the Yeshwanthapur Fire Station;
S. Nanjundappa, District Fire Officer of the Banashankari Fire Station;
Veerabhadraiah, Fire Station Officer, Rescue Unit, South Fire Station in Bangalore;
P. Sathish, Assistant Fire Station Officer, Karkala Fire Station;
A.R. Rangaiah, Assistant Fire Station Officer, Kukanoor Fire Station;
Ramakrishnegowda, leading fireman - 29, Rescue Unit of South Fire Station in Bangalore &
J.P. Hanumanthegowda, fireman driver – 1,085, head office in Bangalore.
